Save the Date (Sept. 17)! State Superintendent of Schools Dr. Carey M. Wright will kick off her statewide series of Community Forums with a Community Forum in Wicomico County on Tuesday, Sept. 17. The forum will be held at Salisbury Middle School and will take place from 5-6 p.m. It is open to the entire community to attend.
Welcome back today (Tuesday, Sept. 3) to all students in grades 1-6 and 9 (all grades attend at Pittsville Elementary and Middle, only Grade 6 attends at Mardela Middle & High).

The Family Portal, an invaluable information resource for parents and guardians and students, is now open for the 2024-2025 school year. The next monthly meeting of the Wicomico County Board of Education is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 13 in the Board of Education Auditorium at 101 Long Ave., Salisbury. August Dates to Remember!
Here is the school supply list for the upcoming school year.
Summer is a time when many children lose the free and reduced-price meals they get at school, and when households might need a little extra help putting meals on the table. On July 1, Governor Wes Moore announced the launch of Maryland SUN Bucks, a new benefits program that provides families $120 to buy groceries for each eligible school-aged child during the summer.
Schedule for Wicomico County Public Schools this week: School system will be closed Thursday, July 4 for the Independence Day holiday. On Friday, July 5th, school system offices will be open, school office hours will vary (call ahead), and summer school classes and programs will not be held.
