Due to inclement weather, Wicomico County Public Schools will have a 90-minute delay today (Dec. 5). Breakfast will not be served in school. Students should follow their school’s instructions regarding the day’s schedule. Please be safe. Thank you.

Our thanks to everyone who took time to nominate one of our outstanding teachers for Wicomico Teacher of the Year. When nominations closed last Tuesday Wicomico County Public Schools had received 803 submissions, so we know our community appreciates its teachers.
We look forward to the recognition of nominees by our schools in December, and then in January the quarterfinalists and semifinalists will be announced. One of the semifinalist teachers will be named the next Wicomico Teacher of the Year on April 9. Excited to find out which of our outstanding teachers that will be!

The Wicomico County Board of Education held a work session on November 25, 2025, that included the review of policies being moved forward to the December 9, 2025, Board Meeting. Those policies are available for public review at this link:

Our December PBIS monthly incentive will take place on Friday, December 19th. Students with zero office referrals for the month of December may participate in December's "Holiday Craft" incentive. This will be a time to celebrate and reinforce positive behavior through the holiday spirit and crafts. Remember to Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Ready to Learn, & Be Helpful!

🎄Fruitland Primary PBIS is bringing back Candy Cane Grams again this year. Each Candy Cane Gram, consisting of a sweet treat and message, will cost 1$ and will be available for purchase from December 1st through December 5th.
Keep an eye out for order forms in your child's yellow folder coming home next week!

Reminder about next week's schedule: Following regular school and work days on Monday and Tuesday, Wicomico County Public Schools will be closed Wednesday through Friday for the Thanksgiving holiday break.

The Maryland State Department of Education has published the state, district, and school-level results for the 2025 MD School Report Card. These results offer a view of school performance for the 2024-25 academic year under the MD Accountability System. Schools earn a 1 to 5 Star Rating based on points from multiple academic and non-academic indicators. For 2025, we received a 4 Star Rating, up from 2024.
